Roasted Kenya Coffee – strong and spicy highland coffee
In the 19th century, the journey from Ethiopia, the cradle of coffee, was actually quite long. Still, the first coffee plants made their way to Kenya and coffee cultivation began.
In the meantime, the precious Bourbon trees are also cultivated on more than 1000 large plantations and by more than 500,000 small producers.
An expressive highland coffee is grown in the mild, consistent climate around Mount Kenya.
This gourmet coffee from Kenya, considered the “Switzerland of Africa”, is harvested between October and March and processed by the wet method. The raw beans are centrally washed and dried in Nairobi before export.
